Soon – Google my Business is rolling out the messaging feature within the Google My Business desktop interface. Currently, the only way you can message is through the Google my Business application on your mobile phone.
What does this look like? After you log in to Google My Business on your desktop browser, you see a “Messages” button on the left side. After clicking on it, it will load the messaging chat box tool. You can see your customers on the left, click on them to load the chat window, and then respond to their chats.
Most businesses have either their desktop or laptop computers open. And it is much easier to type on a keyboard as opposed to a mobile device. This should make the process of responding to customers easier for some businesses.
